Since 2020, I’ve been documenting the places I wander and the moments in between, a journey that grew into a deep love for photography and the stories hidden in the outdoors.

I’m Milena, an environmental researcher and photographer based in Hamilton, Ontario. My work is rooted in the outdoors, inspired by long days in the field, remote landscapes, and the people who feel most at home in nature. Over the years, my photography and filmmaking have been recognized through several awards, including the Tourism Saskatchewan Annual Video Award (2024), Canadian Wildlife Federation Annual Award (2025), or the Subaru AdventureON Photo Contest Award (2025).

When I’m not behind the camera, you’ll likely find me hiking, exploring new places, or working on environmental research projects, often doing all three at once. My approach to photography is relaxed, natural, and story-driven, focused on capturing genuine moments in beautiful outdoor settings.
