The person behind the lens.
I'm Milena, an environmental researcher and photographer based in Hamilton, Ontario. My work is rooted in the outdoors, inspired by long days in the field, remote landscapes, and the people who feel most at home in nature. Spending so much time outdoors, for work, for research, for the love of it, has shaped the way I see and what I notice.
Over the years, my photography and filmmaking have been recognized through several awards, including the Canadian Wildlife Federation Annual Award (2025), Tourism Saskatchewan Annual Video Award (2024), the Subaru AdventureON Photo Contest (2025), and the Arts in Research competition (2025) at McMaster University.
